The Rosary (from Latin rosarium, meaning “rose garden”) is a religious exercise where a defined number of prayers are recited and a string of beads (a chaplet, often called a rosary) is used to keep count.
Eastern Christian monks started the Christian practice as early as in the third century. The modern (150x Hail Mary) Catholic rosary’s origin is most often associated with St. Dominic, founder of the Order of Friars Preachers (the Dominicans) in the early 13th century.
To celebrate the opening of Just Crafting Studio and the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima (13th May), Just Crafting is holding a two-day workshop on rosary making. This course is designed for mature Catholics 15+ to experience the art of making rosary chains and bracelets using metal wires.
